Jamaican Umpire Casserly Hits Landmark 500th Professional Match

Simon Casserly, a Jamaican International Tennis Federation (ITF) White Badge umpire, recently marked his 500th professional match. He officiated the match at the UTR Manchester Women’s event. The Magic Lincer Tennis Club in Manchester, USA, hosted the event.

The milestone match featured Olyvia Lincer of Poland against American Georgia Kulevich. Lincer won the match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. She ultimately won the tournament.

Casserly's Career

Casserly's career has taken him to various international locations. He has officiated at tournaments in Brazil, Peru, the United States, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, and the Cayman Islands. He has also worked at the Pan American Games.

Reflection on the Milestone

Casserly reflected on his achievement. He said reaching 500 professional matches is significant to him. He added that it showcases his dedication and passion for the sport.
