Tradespeople’s Workday Never Truly Ends, Even In Sleep.

Tradespeople often find their work occupying their thoughts even as they try to fall asleep, a recent study indicates. More than half of tradespeople, 51%, report visualizing work activities as they attempt to drift off.

The mental engagement with their profession extends into their dreams for some. According to the study, 6% of builders experience their work as a "never-ending game of Tetris" while they sleep.

Dreaming of Plumbing and Roofing

Certain trades also have profession-specific dream content. Plumbers, for instance, commonly dream about pipes, toilets, sinks, and showers. Similarly, roofers frequently dream about fixing roof tiles.

Chris Other, from Toolstation, spoke about the pressures faced by those in the trades.
