Jamaica Chases World Championship Dreams In Barbados Relay Bid

Jamaica is sending three relay teams to the Barbados Grand Prix on July 5 in an effort to qualify for the World Athletics Championships. The teams consist of a women's 4x100m, a men's 4x100m, and a mixed 4x400m relay team.

Jamaica did not automatically qualify at the World Relays earlier this year, prompting this qualification attempt. The track meet takes place at the Usain Bolt Stadium in Barbados.

Team Composition

The women's 4x100m team includes Jodean Williams, Krystal Sloley, Jonielle Smith, and Serena Cole. Kadrian Goldson, Adrian Kerr, Bouwahgie Nkrumie, and Odain McPherson comprise the men's 4x100m team. The mixed 4x400m relay team consists of Roneisha McGregor, Shanakaye Anderson, Jeremy Bembridge, and Bovel McPherson.

Team Management

Brian Smith serves as the Team Manager. Paul Francis is the Head Coach, with Lamar Richards as the Assistant Coach. Jowayne Johnson is the team's Massage Therapist. The Jamaican team has already departed for Barbados. The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association is supporting the team's efforts.
